Everybody is anticipating the grand opening of Club Pearl, but word is out that they already fired the dance floor up for employees and friends at Ala Moana Shopping Center. Rumors are that they will be opening the last week of August. More 411 to come!

So this week marks the return of the annual Band Camp. This year's lineup includes Hoobastank, & Hot Hot Heat. The Fray & Rock Kills Kid was added to the lineup making this concert hard to pass up. If you've never heard of these bands, then it's time to hit myspace. Here you go!

Kahuku Shrimp

If anyone is in the mood for tasty temptations, there will be a Kahuku shrimp cooking demonstration today by chef Hector Morales at the Kahuku Public & School Library starting at 6:30pm. Admission is free. Call 293-8935 for more information.

For all you alternative music fans out there, you will appreciate the news of the first ever appearance by the band She Wants Revenge. With a growing fanbase, this duo is making a name for itself with its appearances at many of of this season's most famous summer festivals including Lollapalooza. These guys balance their lyrics about the singles bar/club scene by creating unique 80-esque atl rock riffs with unique sound effects. They'll be at Pipeline Cafe on Friday, August 25th.
